ALEXANDER KNIGHT I called her to tell her that I would be returning today only as I have already finished my work. At first it was my idea to give her a surprise but she sounded really down when I called her last time so I decided to tell her. These two days I was so busy that I didn't even get the chance to call her. I know she would have been waiting for my call and that now she must be so mad at me. I called her and when she picked up the phone I got to hear an extremely angry voice of my wife. Well I expected that. But whatever it is I am happy to at least hear that voice after two days. "What?" she said. "Ev what happened are you fine?" I asked. "Yes absolutely Mr. Alexander Knight I am so fine." Okay something is coming I can sense it. I think I should tell her before she shouts at me. "Ev I-" I was cut off by her. "Why have you called to ask that how fucked up I am. And how dare you ask me if I am fine or not. I am a fucking mess Alexander Knight just because of you. You are a fucking liar. You told me that you will call me five times everyday. But have you realized that it has been two days and you have not called me even once. You told me you'll finish your work as soon as possible and come back fast. Actually wait you didn't tell me you fucking promised me. So when are you planning to come." "Ev I was saying that only I-" "I get it you don't want to come. But why?" "Ev will you-" "Was Cass right? Are you cheating on me?" "What?" Oh God! If her friend keeps on filling this shit in her mind I swear I'll kill her one day. "Xander you better not be cheating on me. That you won't cheat on me but that stupid Cass. So it's a no. Why will you cheat on me. I am cute and beautiful. Then why are you avoiding me?" Wait is she drunk or something? She is praising herself. Oh! I forgot my wife does not need to get drunk to praise herself. "Ev stop and just lis-" "You know what bye I don't want to talk to you. You should have apologized to me and said that you are coming back soon but no you are The Alexander Knight why would you do something like that." Great! How will I do that if you don't let me speak? "How will I-" "Bloody Arrogant Knight. Bye." She hung up. Wait. What? Did she just hung up on me. I groaned in irritation. "Why do you talk so much Ev?" I said looking at my phone. "Well then let it be a surprise Mrs. Knight." It was 10 at night when I reached home. I opened the door with the password and went in I stopped on my way when I heard soft snoring sound. I looked to my right to see my beautiful wife sleeping on the couch with her phone in her hand. I think she was waiting for my call. I smiled to myself. I went to her and kneeled down in front of her. Removing some strands of her hair I kissed her forehead.
